How to book our holiday cottage

If you would like to book the cottage, e-mail or call with your requested dates and we will hold as provisional with immediate effect so that no other bookings can be made until yours has been confirmed.  We will e-mail or post you a booking form which should be completed and returned along with a deposit of £150.   We accept cheques, BAC transfers or payment can also be made via Paypal.  The balance of your stay should then be paid no later than 8 weeks prior to your visit.   A confirmation will then be sent along with arrival instructions.  Should you book your break within 8 weeks of its start date then the full balance is due immediately.   Note, during peak times the cottage is only available for a 1 week minimum stay.  Short Breaks (min of 3 nights) require a deposit of £35.  


Although one well behaved house trained dog is permitted at the cottage, we do ask that they are kept out of the bedrooms and off the furniture.  Note, we can also put you in touch with local dog-walkers/sitters should you wish.  A doggie goodie bag will be supplied for your pet alongside your Welcome Hamper.


All of our prices include bed linen, towels, central heating and electricity and we also provide all fuel for the open fire.


The cottage is strictly non-smoking and it is not permitted to have fireworks or barbeques other than with the provided gas BBQ for obvious reasons of safety around the thatch roof!  We even provide the gas bottles for your BBQ!


Travel cot and high-chair available on request. Please request at time of booking.


Cancellation Policy


If you do need to cancel your booking for any reason, a full refund will be given provided you cancel more than 8 weeks of your booking commencement date. If you cancel between 8 and 4 weeks before the commencement of your stay, you will receive a 50% refund or your deposit back, whichever is greater.  If you cancel within 4 weeks of the commencement of your stay, unfortunately you will not be entitled to a refund. However, if we can rebook your stay, we will gladly transfer your dates at no additional cost. We would strongly recommend you take out cancellation insurance to cover for all eventualities.

Please be assured that we have signed up to the 'Safer Stay' principles and are committed to making your stay with us a safe and enjoyable one.  A Covid-19 risk assessment has been carried out and a number of measures have been put into place to ensure that guest and staff safety is priority.  We will be happy to supply you with a copy of both if requested.
